Fadhil and his fiancee, Emily, first met through Skype in 2012. Fadhil had seen her in a mutual friend’s photo and asked about her. They eventually started skyping everyday and continually called each other as, he was studying in the US while she was studying in Jakarta. After about 4 months of skyping and calling, they decided that they wanted to meet over summer break. Fadhil flew to Jakarta to find Emily and for the first time our couple met face to face. This continued for years; Fadhil flew back every year to meet her and they would send each other gifts on their birthdays. On what drew him to Emily Fadhil shares, “It's how she not only has good looks and a charming personality, but also because she's a tough fighter. She would walk for an hour on busy roadways dragging rolls of cloth to design her own line of clothing to sell so that she could save more, and take the sort of public transportation which her group of friends would never want to be seen in. She's a down to earth princess I would say.” For Emily, “she was attracted to my persistent commitment towards her and how I keep showering her with love and affection even though I was far. And she likes how I am family oriented and gentlemen like I am.” It was only after 5 years together that Fadhil and Emily decide that they wanted to commit to each other and to get married in the following year. As Fadhil’s family wanted to travel to Japan for his sister’s graduation trip, he and his fiancee thought “why not have a photoshoot there”. So, Fadhil Googled to find photographers in Tokyo and found OneThreeOneFour’s site. From the site, he decided to engage Stephannie for a couple and family photoshoot. “To me, it seemed symbolic as it kinda feels like it took me 5 years to build a bridge to get to her heart.” The couple chose to hold their shoot at Odaiba Marine Park as “we liked Odaiba because of the beach look but with the city skyline and bridge in the background.” Fadhil shares that “To me, it seemed symbolic as it kinda feels like it took me 5 years to build a bridge to get to her heart.” Stephannie shares that “Odaiba is such a lovely place, one of my personal favourites, but this was the first time I had a photo shoot there. I think it’s not as popular as other locations in Tokyo like Shibuya Crossing or Tokyo Tower, so the location itself made it an interesting shoot.” The shoot started off with the family shoot where they came all dressed in matching white tops. The family of 4 included Fadhil’s fiance and her sister’s boyfriend in the shoot too, allowing Stephannie to easily position them in pairs for the shoot. They wanted to make their trip to Japan memorable and meaningful, so they decided to hold their couple shoot there. They then proceeded on to Fadhil and Emily’s casual shoot. Fadhil and Emily were really grateful to Stephannie for the shoot, sharing that “Stephannie is a really great photographer and a patient one as well. We were slightly late because we really didn't know where the exact meet spot was.. But she was so patiently waiting and we really do feel bad about it. During the photoshoot she was quick and easy to guide us through our first photoshoot. She was really great at making use of natural lighting and different poses or actions. After the final edited photos came out, it looked amazing. I would recommend Stephannie's photography service to anyone for sure.
